  1. Kia ora Adriana,

Congratulations on completing your very first activity for this years Summer Learning Journey. I see that you have been busy completing the first 2 days worth of activities. I cannot wait to read them all. At the moment, I am working through the 200 posts that students from Ako Hiko have already posted. Is that not awesome. There are a lot of students participating in the Summer Learning Journey this year. Make sure to check them all out on the Ako Hiko website. http://www.akohiko.org/home/blogging

What a great start you have made to your Summer Learning Journey. These three facts that you have shared are absolutely fascinating. I also learnt that 30% of New Zealand's land mass is covered in forest. That is what makes our country so unique and beautiful. I am lucky enough to live on the edge of a native bush which is basically a small native forest. It is covered in trees such as nikau palms, rimu trees, kawakawa trees, totara trees, and many more. We are so lucky to be able to step over the fence and feel like we are miles away from the city.Have you been to a New Zealand forest before? If so, where about in the country was it?

I cannot wait see more of your amazing posts over the summer. Keep up the amazing work, Adriana.

    Ka kite,
    Megan
